The New Zealand Disability Karate Association Newsletter

Summer 2024

KIA ORA!

Welcome to the Summer issue of the New Zealand Disability Karate Association newsletter.

This is the first newsletter of 2024.

This year we have added a new weapon to our Kobudo training, the Nunchaku. Starting from Valentine's Day we will be learning to use Nunchaku and Sai every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

This will be an exciting addition to our Kobudo training.

Special Easter Class

On the 27th and 29th March we will have our Easter classes. Remember to dress up in your favorite Easter costume.

Little Blue Easter Bunny

There will be Easter eggs, a lolly scramble and lots of games.

Everyone is welcome, both old and new students!

Who has graded?

There has been one grading since our last newsletter. We have three new yellow belts.

We have two new club members, who are likely to grade to yellow belt before the next newsletter.

In our club there are now

  • 7 white belts (10th kyu)
  • 38 yellow belts (9th kyu)
  • 3 orange belts (8th kyu)
  • 2 green belts (7th kyu)
  • 4 blue belts (6th kyu)
